Dilo K Baadshah Karachi Kings (KK) is the Franchise Cricket Team representing Karachi city in PSL.

Management:

Salman Iqbal of ARY Group (Dubai-based holding company) brought Karachi Kings for $ 26 Million for ten years period making it the most expensive team of the tournament. Former South African Cricketer Mickey Arthur (current head coach of Pakistan Cricket Team) coaches the Karachi Kings. Mushtaq Ahmed is Assistant and Bowling Coach of the franchise. Moreover, Rashid Latif has also joined the team as their director.

Despite the most expensive team of PSL they couldn’t leave mark on PSL 2016.They won only 2 matches but that doesn’t mean they plan to do the same in PSL 2017.

Team Profile

Kumar Sangakara is appointed as the captain of the Karachi Kings players. In addition to that this team traded Chris Gayle with Lahore Qalandars. Making their side even more destructive.

They kept possession of Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Sohail Khan, Ravi Bopara, Mohammad Amir, Saifullah Bangash and Shahzaib Hassan for the second season. They also got their hand on Kumar Sangakara, Babar Azam and Chris Gayle. Kieron Pollard, Mahela Jayawerdene and Ryan McLaren have also joined the team. Just few days before the 2017 PSL player draft took place, Azhar Mehmood was include as the coach.

Bahria town is the Title Sponsor for the Franchise. The other sponsors are Summit Bank ,K-electric, the Arkadians, Oye Hoye and Shield Corporation Ltd.  Naya Nizamabad is official main principle partner for 2017 season.
