Since PSL 2017 is only a few days away. Fans are getting impatient and are eager for the League to start. PSL Replacement Draft took place at the National Cricket Academy. As a result the teams had an opportunity to make a last adjustment in their draft. New players made their debut while some other were retained.
Replacement Draft 2017 was pre-announced in the PSL 2017 Draft.
PSL Replacement Draft 2017
For players who may not be able to play in the league because of some reason the PSL Replacement draft is taking place. Since the reason maybe N.O.C, availability, ban or injury etc. An overwhelming response was given by players. All of them wanted to be a part of PSL. The Players picked by each team were as follow.
Islamabad United kept their players.But were facing an issue with Andre Russell whose availability is still not sure. In the Re Draft Islamabad kept Andre Russell in the team.
In their “1st pick” Lahore Qalandars replaced the injured player Dwayne DJ Bravo with English Opener Jason Roy. Shaun Tait in the “2nd pick” replaced by Chris Green. James Fraklin is to make his debut with Lahore Qalandars as he replaces Anton Devcich in the “3rd pick”.
For Their “1st pick” The team picked batsman Marlon Samuels replacing Alex Hales. Shahzad Muhammadi was replaced by Andre Fletcher during the “2nd pick”. Tillakaratne Dilshan replaced Shakib Al Hasan in the “3rd pick”.Samit Patel will replace Tamim Iqbal in the qualifiers round.
Rilee Rossouw was picked during the “1st pick” of PSL Replacement Draft and will be replacing Mohammad Nabi. The Gladiators suprised the fans by picking Moeen Ali during the “2nd pick” while Carlos Brathwaite will be leaving QG .But Moeen Ali could not join the team due to family reason so Brad Hodge will take his place. David Willey was replaced by Nathan McCullum in the “3rd pick”. Thisara Perera replaced Rovman Powell in the “4th pick”.
Karachi Kings did not joined the other team during the Re Draft because all their players were available and fit.
